Activities

• A Falls Hazard Word search and answers. Can be done in groups or independently. The words have been written forwards, so that they are more easily found but it is important the word search is not to difficult either as people would not be able to achieve the goal and would dis-engage. It is important to challenge a person so they don't complete it too quickly but create the opportunity for them to complete it independently.
• Spot the home hazards and answers.
• Challenge – while at home this next week, ask people to look for 5 hazards around your home (e.g. rug, loose carpet, trailing wires, worn slippers, obstructed windows).  Report back the to the group next week about what a person has been able to change or asked someone to help with this week to reduce hazards in their own environment.
